◀ 국문 초록 ▶ 묵자는 침략 전쟁을 반대했다. 묵자가 파악한 전쟁의 원인은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 차별적인 사랑을 하면서 자신의 이익만 챙기기 때문이다. 둘째, 이념 대립과 이론 갈등 때문에 전쟁이 일어난다. 셋째, 물질이 부족하고 서로 많이 차지하려고 다투기 때문이다. 묵자는 다음과 같은 해결책을 제시한다. 차별애와 이기주의 문제는 두루 사랑하고 서로 이롭게 해주면 해결된다. 이념 대립과 이론 갈등은 천자를 중심으로 다양한 주장을 통일하면 된다. 물질의 부족 문제는 낭비를 줄이고 부지런히 일하면 해결된다. 묵자는 낭비를 줄이기 위해서 절장론(節葬論)을 펼쳤으며, 노동요 이외 음악은 필요 없다고 주장한다. 묵자가 제시한 반전 평화론은 근원적인 해결책으로서는 한계가 있다. 묵자의 겸애는 자연스러운 이치를 무시하고, 모든 똑같이 사랑하라고 주장하기 때문에 실천하기 힘들다. 묵자가 말한 상동론(尙同論)에 의한 평화 추구는 빠른 효과를 달성하기 위한 미봉책에 불과하다. 무조건 아랫사람이 윗사람의 의견에 따르도록 하고 있기 때문이다. 묵자는 음악과 평화의 관계도 간과했다. 좋은 음악은 스트레스를 풀어주고, 사람과 사람 사이의 관계를 회복시켜 주며, 사회 풍속을 좋은 방향으로 유도하는 역할도 수행하기 때문이다. 묵자의 반전(反戰) 평화론에 대한 비판적 수용이 필요하다. 주제어: 침략 전쟁, 전쟁의 원인, 차별적인 사랑, 이념 대립, 절장론(節葬論), 상동론(尙同論)

Abstract A Study on Mozi’s (墨子) Antiwar (反戰) Pacifism Lee, Sang-ho (Gyeongsang National University) Mozi opposed wars of aggression. The causes of the war that Mozi identified are as follows. First, it is because they take care of their own interests while making discriminatory love. Second, wars occur because of ideological conflicts and theoretical conflicts. Third, it is because they lack material and fight for more. Mozi suggests the following solutions. The problems of discrimination and selfishness can be solved if we love each other and benefit each other. Ideological conflicts and theoretical conflicts can be resolved by unifying the various arguments centered on the emperor. The problem of material scarcity is solved by reducing waste and working diligently. Mozi unfolded Jie Zang Theory (節葬論) to reduce waste, and insists that no music is needed other than work songs. Antiwar Pacifism proposed by Mozi has limitations as a fundamental solution. Mozi’s Gyeomae is hard to put into practice because it ignores natural logic and insists on loving everyone equally. The pursuit of peace by Mozi’s Shang Tong Theory (尙同論) is just a quick fix for achieving a quick effect. It is because subordinates are forced to obey the opinions of superiors. Mozi also overlooked the relationship between music and peace. It is because good music relieves stress, restores relationships between people, and also plays a role in guiding social customs in a good direction. It is necessary to have a critical acceptance of Mozi’s Antiwar (反戰) Pacifism.
